Freakinfood is our little corner of the internet where Italian comfort, Vietnamese flavor and Nordic everyday life meet at the table.
We mix recipes, food stories and restaurant reviews from Stockholm and beyond, always with one rule: the food has to be honest, cozy and full of flavor.
Italian heart, Nordic kitchen
My name is Emanuel. I moved to Sweden in 2015 from Venice, Italy, and I’ve worked as a chef in a lot of restaurants since then.
I always wanted to have a food blog. I started one called Kitchenview when I was younger, but I could never really focus on it. Now, with Freakinfood, I’m bringing all of it together — my knowledge, my passion, and the traditions I grew up with around food and drink.
Vietnamese soul, Scandinavian light
My name is Son. I came to Sweden in 2020 from Vietnam, where we have a lot of tradition around the table — and where I became a professional coffee taster.
Since then I’ve been learning the Western food traditions and trying to understand them, without losing my Vietnamese roots. A few years ago I started an Instagram profile, foodstuckers.stlm, where I share and review the places I visit and like. Now I want to bring all of that to Freakinfood too.
